Abstract

For years the situation of mentally sick people in stationary living groups has been criticized. According to the vastly completed deinstutionalisation from the nerve hospitals a deinstutionalisation from the hostels for mentally sick people has been demanded. Other living forms like assisted living groups, but also professional care of people in their own flats have been promoted. In the following we report about the results of stationary and out-patient living forms for mentally sick people in the region ‘Oberfranken’ on a test day. For a part of the inhabitants long residence times in stationary living forms, but also in assisted living groups were confirmed. The integration of the inhabitants into a community or community care diverged considerably.
